My Message

I am just an average man living in Pasquotank County that is trying to make a positive difference in what areas I can. I am an unapologetic Christ follower who loves to serve others. I have been in many different leadership roles throughout the years and I would like to use those skills I have learned from those positions to SERVE the citizens of Pasquotank County. I believe I am supposed to model the leadership style of Jesus Christ – he was a servant leader.

I would be honored to serve our community as one of your county commissioners.

Background

I am a 17 year resident of the county and I love it here! I have been serving at Towne South Church of Christ for those 17 years in different ministerial roles. I am currently the Executive Minister there. I am unashamed to say that Jesus Christ and His church is my first love, my family comes in a close second, and then I love to give myself to serve others.

During my time in Pasquotank County I have been active in many volunteer organizations and currently serve in leadership on several boards. I LOVE serving others!

Experience

I serve as the administrator (Executive Minister) of a healthly, growing church – Towne South Church of Christ. Also, I am on the executive teams of a church planting organization, the Elizabeth City Rotary Club, and the Pasquotank County Republican Party. I am also the treasurer of Journey Christian Church in Elizabeth City and Collective Christian Church in Kinston, NC.

I am also a local business owner that owns rental properties throughout the county.

Leadership

In my many different roles in leadership throughout the years, I believe I have developed skills that can be translated well to serve in the role of commissioner. To name a few: vision casting, budgeting, researched decision-making, working with a team of others leaders, and so many others.

Topics

There are many issues in Pasquotank County that deserve attention, but there a few that are close to my heart…substance abuse, gun violence, lack of job opportunities, and at-risk children. I will strive to work alongside our other county leaders to find postive solutions to those issues and many others.
